Reiki therapy is a simple yet powerful tool for self-healing, not only on the physical levels, but also the mental and spiritual levels. Reiki is based on channeling energy and opens you up to the divine source, whatever your perception of that is. Many interpret Reiki energy as having divine origins, they see it as divine love or divine light.
Does Not Conflict With Existing Beliefs
Reiki therapy is not attached to any religions therefore it never conflicts with an individual's beliefs. Reiki is practiced by many different backgrounds, Pagans, Moslems, Catholics, atheists etc. The word Reiki can be translated as meaning Universal Energy, Soul Energy, Aura there are many other variations on what exactly Reiki is translated to, but either way the name is merely a label for a source of healing energy.
Latent Ability To Heal
The history of Reiki, you can find on other sites. What is most important is the use and cultivation of this energy source in helping others to heal, understanding energy manipulation and the practice of this beautiful technique. Always remembering however that energy is always around us and no matter what label you give it, we all have the power to channel it and manipulate it. Attunements are just that, they help to attune us to the correct energies and frequencies, so that we are able to heal faster than we would alone without this sharing.
